Tips for smarter and safer travels

  • Once you figure out your destinations, first thing to do is: go to your local government website and look for any travel advisories, if there are any for any city that in your destination country, try to avoid. We did this when we visited Honduras, as per the Gov. Canada website, we avoided the capital Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula, we are glad we did. 
  • Learn the entry requirements for your destinations.
  • We usually book the first night of our destination, so that we need not worry about where to stay. If you are taking public transportation like us, we Google street view the place and try to remember some land marks. This came in handy for us several times taking the chicken bus, I would know exactly where to get off and tell the driver to drop us off right here like we have been here before. 
  • Get Excited!
